Stop simply existing and start living!  There’s a lot to be said for living down South in an environment of coastal bliss.  There’s so much to love about the Leland area on its own, not to mention the nearby Historic City of Downtown Wilmington and all the magnificent white sand beaches to explore just within short drive of our community here at Brunswick Forest.  As an active lifestyle planned community, Brunswick Forest is all about you living the best lifestyle that you’ve always dreamed of.  Many of our residents, both past and present, have heard of the Brunswick way of living from the various trade shows that take place nationwide, throughout the year.

See what real residents have experienced after learning about our community through trade show events like Ideal Living!

After many years of the daily grind, resident John Lane and his wife began thinking about retirement.  Looking for their chance to own a little slice of heaven, they began searching for their dream community by attending two trade shows in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia. It was during these trade show experiences that they first heard of our community here at Brunswick Forest.  There were many other planned communities to choose from on the East Coast from Georgia to Tennessee. Mr. and Mrs. Lane also communicated frequently with the many builders in all these different areas, and while all the information was incredibly helpful it was Brunswick Forest that truly caught their attention the most.  The Lanes loved the fact that our community was close to the beach and yet was not a typical transient beach town, while plenty of options for dining remained available on the Wilmington River Walk.  “We were impressed with all that Brunswick Forest had to offer and working with our agent Chris was great.  He answered our questions, knew what we were looking for in a building lot and made the land purchase very easy.”  After developing the 5-year plan they wanted in 2011 to initialize moving out of their local DC area, the Lanes finally made their way down to the Leland area a year ahead of schedule in September 2015.  Settling into their new residence built by Kent Homes, they’ve never looked back since then.  Both found an open and diverse community with great amenities and a vast wealth of activities such as golf, kayaking, the wine club, plenty of great restaurants and so many wonderful neighbors to enjoy life with.

Among the incredible living experience that Brunswick Forest provides, there is no doubt the surrounding areas nearby have one of a kind charms for those looking to re-locate! Historic Downtown Wilmington offers southern charm with a variety of delicious dining options. Whether it’s a fresh seafood medley, Carolina pulled-pork barbecue, southern style corn bread, delicious crab dip on a beautiful riverfront balcony or gathering the family for some authentic Italian, Wilmington’s dining scene has something for all tastes. International flavors are in abundance from Turkey, Japan, and France. The River Walk in Downtown Wilmington is a mecca of cuisine, and the Southern hospitality makes the experience a real treat.

Wrightsville Beach is easy to access and offers pristine beach. With surfing, paddle boarding, and tons of watersport activities. There is truly something for everyone at Wrightsville Beach. The amenities, dining, and breath-taking views make it one of the most desirable beach towns on the coast.

Carolina Beach is an authentic beach town with a diverse attraction. A classic beachside boardwalk, a state park, miles of beautiful strand with plenty of charter fishing opportunities. While, right down the road, the landscape and history make Kure Beach a place to reconnect with nature and family.  This quaint beach town has so many things to see and do. Visitors can enjoy the Aquarium at Fort Fisher or tour the historical Civil War museum.

Home of the incredibly symbolic Oak Island Lighthouse, that has stood as a guide for ships since 1958, Caswell Beach and Oak Island guard the mouth of the Cape Fear River.  Offering spectacular natural views from the Lighthouse observation deck, Caswell Beach is a sleepy town that offers a less crowded option for your coastal get away. It’s the perfect place to create new memories with someone close, or with the whole family.

Mr. and Mrs. Lane found that visiting the area, experiencing the weather, and the laid-back attitude is what truly sets Brunswick Forest above other planned communities of its type.  So, what are you waiting for?  Your new neighbors are waiting for you to join them at Brunswick Forest!
