Inside The Award Winning Starling

Out shining it’s competitors, PBC Design + Build’s model home, The Starling, won big at the 32nd Annual Parade of Homes for the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builder’s Association. A welcome addition to the Brunswick Forest builder collective, PBC has a reputation as one of the region’s top custom home builder’s. This was earned by framing each of their client’s dreams and making them the foundation for all of their projects.

“Brunswick Forest, specifically Cape Fear National, is one of my favorite neighborhoods to build homes. This area embodies everything I love about the south: laid back atmosphere, grassy nature and front porch living,” says Dave Spetrino, Founder of PBC Design + Build.

The Cape Fear Home Builders Association 32nd Annual Parade of Home’s showcases the finest new homes in Southeastern, North Carolina. This year’s parade took place on Sunday, April 29, Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 and is a self-guided tour of newly built homes being featured throughout the region. The Home Builder’s Association held their annual banquet that Friday evening which awards area builders in several different categories.

PBC Design + Build stood out among the competition and took home three awards at this year’s banquet. Winning gold for The Starling, PBC took full advantage of the home’s location by incorporating the upstairs rear facing media room to overlook the 17th hole green/fairway and pond views. In addition to securing a gold medal, The Starling also took home the award for best kitchen and best master bath at this year’s banquet.

Featured in Brunswick Forest’s Cape Fear National neighborhood, The Starling dazzles with custom white oak hardwoods throughout the living areas and bedrooms, bluestone floors, quartz counter tops, built-in wetbar, lots of shiplap, upgraded stainless appliances with Jenn Aire, 10′ ceilings throughout main level, vaulted ceilings upstairs and screened-in porch with a gas fireplace.
