The new year has begun, and many are working to fulfill their new year’s resolutions to become fitter, eat better, or simply take more time to enjoy themselves. Regardless of what your goals might be for 2021, know that the Fitness and Wellness Center here at Brunswick Forest can give you the perfect start!

The Fitness and Wellness Center is an 18,000 square-foot facility that is chock full of opportunities to help you live your most healthy lifestyle. Though COVID has made things a little different than usual, there are still plenty of ways you can show 2021 who is the boss! Here are some of the programs that have been going on:

Getting Back on Track:

This 30-day program does exactly what it describes in the title, which is getting you back in the green-zone after a holiday of indulgence. Everyone could use a little refresher course on the best way to get themselves back to a healthy state of being. Coach Alan Murphy over at the Fitness and Wellness Center will help you to do just that. He will help you set obtainable goals for yourself and devise the best way to attack those achievements to obtain true success. Each workout plan is tailored around you as a person because fitness is not always a “one size fits all” subject. Better yet, Coach Alan will give you the basics to get started so you can then follow the program on your terms. The investment for this class is well worth the effort.

Himalayan Salt Cleanse:

Purify your mind and body with this amazing wellness program and do so in the comfort of your community! If you have never heard of salt therapy before, then you are missing out! Despite what you might think at first, salt is very good for you. Salt is a natural anti-inflammatory agent, helping to promote wellness for joints, skin, airways, and many other parts of your body. This program involves Coach Alan over at the Fitness and Wellness Center giving small groups a meditation session, involving deep breathing, and mindfulness. All the while you will be aided by the relaxing therapy of a salt Halogenerator to simulate real salt caves. It is the perfect way to use alternative holistic methods to help your mind and body for the new year!

Winter Cleanse Sessions:

When the weather is cooler, your first reaction is to hibernate and stay inside. But keeping out of the cold is no excuse for letting your body go to waste! Our physical bodies are like a temple that you must maintain. And after all that holiday merrymaking, you need a real dedicated time to detoxify yourself for the new year. Coach Alan has just the thing! Consider his brand-new winter cleanse sessions to be a reset button for your well-being. This can be in person or phone-in depending on what works best for you. The program includes all sorts of goodies and knowledge to help start yourself onto a new path including day to day meal plans, a healthy guidebook, guided support and accountability coaching, healthy recipes, and the option to make a seven, 14, or 21-day cleanse program. You will be amazed at how healthy your body feels after a good detox, so why not give this a try?

Outdoor Training Programs:

Just because it is January does not always mean you have to be cooped up inside. The mild weather of our local area often allows us to enjoy working our bodies in the fresh air of the great outdoors. Coach Alan has been doing just that with his TRX six-week sessions. TRX stands for “Total Resistance Exercises” and is a form of training where you are suspended using straps of fabric. TRX programs allow you to improve core strength, flexibility, endurance, and heart health too! This program was designed to keep people optimized for an active lifestyle. Coach Alan has been teaching these classes for quite some time already, and it has been a great opportunity to give everyone a way to exercise in a safe environment!

These options only cover some of the amazing programs that have been going on. More can be found on the Fitness and Wellness Center website.
